Iain

IAIN WITH BROTHERS
ALAN, LEFT, AND ROY

While I was in the Elvis competion in Las Vegas, I noticed the other Elvis tribute acts had some amazing jumpsuits, so I checked around to find out where they had them made.

It turned out to be a company in the USA called, not surprisingly, Jumpsuits Fit for a King.
The Scottish in me came to the front and I ordered the Comet Suit which cost me $1000, but it was well worth it...my wife Anke did a "Made in China" copy and she can now make all my Elvis clothes, I ain't stupid.

Anke made my Aloha Jumpsuit...and as you'll see from the photo, she did a great job.

Anke and I love Las Vegas and we go there every January and normally bump into my friend Sonny West.
Sonny saw my act in Vegas and came to see me after the show to say Hi! and since then we've become great friends. He's a great guy with great stories of when he worked with the King himself.

I also meet up with my buddy Lance Frazee from Laguna Beach in California who also owns an appartment here in Mallorca.
Lance and I love the Elvis slot machines in the Sahara Hotel...only in Vegas would you find a slot machine that shows Elvis singing whenever you win.

In the USA I also got married to my lovely wife anke...and guess what?
We got married in Vegas, in the Candlelight Chapel, it was great, Anke looked like a Princess, arriving in the white stretch limo, a day we both will never forget.
Anke is my second wife.

From my first marriage I have two children...
Lee my son who is now 18 and doing very well at University, and my lovely daughter 21 year old Kerry who is a great mother to my grandson Dylan.

The rest of the Duncan tribe consists of my father Arthur and step mum Margaret, my mother Trudi & stepdad George and of course I have to mention my brothers Roy and Alan.
I've been a really lucky guy because all of my family have supported me through my ups and downs.
I love you all.

In July 2005 there was a competition on television here in Spain to find the best Elvis Tribute in Europe.
I entered and the first round was singing on TV in front of a panel of judges.
I dont know how many acts there were all together, but I got a call soon after to say I was in the final, which was to be an open air concert on 16th July in Sa Pobla, here in Mallorca.

There were 14 finalists from all over Europe including acts from Spain, Great Britain, Germany and Sweden... and the favourite, another Spanish guy from Mallorca.

I sang the live version of Suspicious Minds...and the crowd of God knows how many thousand really went wild...so I blasted out the Elvis version of My Way, which won me First Place & a trip for 2 too Memphis, (Yea Baby)

After the presentation of my award I thought the night was over...was I wrong!!!

After they announced me as the winner the police took me to the other side of the town through the back streets and waiting there was a police motorbike escort, followed by the Harley Davidson Owners Club on their Harleys...about 40 of them and I was put in the back of an old American Mustang Convertible.

The town of Sa Pobla was pàcked with 14.000 Elvis fans...and as the motorcade drove slowly through the narrow streets the crowds were screaming The King, The King it was really wild stuff.
I got underpants thrown at me and that was just the guys...I won't tell you what the gals were throwing and showing!

When we arrived back at the show area a whole posse of cops surrounded the car...the only time that happened to me before was when my car tax was out of date!...and escorted me through the crowd and back on to the stage where I had to sing again with a huge crowd of 14,000 & TV cameras everywhere...I could learn to live with being treated like a celeb!

Anke and a group of my friends couldn't get closer than half a mile away, that's was how bad, or good, it was

Since then I've had press footage in the Daily Mirror, Daily Record, Evening Express, Press & Journal, Mallorca Daily Bulletin, Euro Weekly, Celebrity Magazine, plus some German papers and a Swedish magazine.
It was great being interviewed live via phone by BBC radio, and I appeared on GMTV, Channel 4 and IP3 television channels both singing and being interviewed.

Why not email me, for info on where and when I'm performing or if you just want to chat.
You can also book a show by email or order any of my CD,s which will be added to these web pages soon, thanks for looking, Iain. tcb.
